More information

1951

Pasticceria Floro began as a family-run business in Bari in 1946, founded by Grandpa Michele, who, alongside his wife Emilia, their children and relatives, produced traditional Apulian products in a small artisan workshop.

1987

With the passing of time, the third of Michele's five children, Antonio, joined his father and worked with him until 6 December 1987, when our patisserie's founder passed away.

Three generations of pastry makers

The loss of Michele, a tower of strength, left Antonio shaken, but his own son, also named Michele, began helping Antonio at the age of just 15. He learnt the craft and helped keep the business growing. Gradually we opened our first bar and began supplying other businesses with traditional Apulian pastries and other artisan products.

A place to explore

Today Michele Floro represents the third generation of pastry makers in our family. Customers have been increasing all the time, as has their satisfaction with the quality of our work and what we have to offer.

Our locations

Pasticceria Floro has added to its historic bar at Via San Francesco d'Assisi 24 a new location, Floro in Centro, at Corso Vittorio Emanuele 74. It lets us meet customer demands better: putting on catering for events, supplying artisan Apulian products, baking cakes for special occasions like graduations and weddings, and making all sorts of beignets, hot croissants and other pastries.
